Google and its first pagerank 2008 update

This morning I was reading Tagliaerbe’s blog and in particular his latest post about a pagerank update that seems to be started in these last few days.

You know I’m so courious so I took a look at Posting IT stats, and I saw no pagerank updates, but an huge increase in backlink and indexed pages.

I have to say that in the last few months we learnt that Google wasn’t scheduling its pagerank updates with a constant delay, so I have never thought about the chance to see a pagerank update in january… but it was happend! (and it’s still happening…)

By the way looking at Posting IT stats I was able to see an huge backlink update:

On January the 1st my backlinks were ~6 now they are over 330, so they are increased by 5000%.
A very huge increase! But I’m start thinking about the way that Google changed its algorithm in order to store all the backlinks that it is able to discover for a domain, and then use its new algorithm for backlinks selling in order to clean as much serp as possible.

Looking at Posting IT backlinks chart we can also see an interesting update (~1000 new backlinks) on Yahoo too… nice, isn’t it?

So that’s all, the latest think I have to say is that I’m a bit courious to see what’s happened to cavallotrondolo serp.
